Activism through Art: Intercollegiate Asian American Zine Workshop
Event Description:
“Harvard’s TAPAS (The Task Force for Asian American Progressive Advocacy and Studies) and The Wave literary & arts magazine are hosting an AAPI Zine history and workshop event on Saturday, July 18 (8:30-10PM EST) that will celebrate the role of zines in activism. The event will highlight student zine organizations from a wide variety of universities and colleges with brief presentations from different zinemakers about the work they’ve done. Join us as we share tools and resources for zine-making with both people who are unfamiliar with zines and those who are seasoned zine-makers, and to discuss how art can be leveraged in political ways especially to show solidarity and build coalitions across racial groups! The event will also include a collaborative zine making workshop.”
